UK-US data-flows agreement expected this week

The U.K. government will likely announce the finalization of The Atlantic Declaration: A Framework for a Twenty-First Century U.S.-UK Economic Partnership, Politico reports. The deal will allow for the transfer of all personal information to “flow unfettered between the two countries,” and could be worth more than 60 billion GBP in exports to the U.K. Editor’s note: IAPP Research and Insights Director Joe Jones analyzed the U.K.-U.S. data-sharing compact after it was agreed in principle in June.
